Charlie Stolper has over 30 years of professional experience as an investment banker and in corporate executive management and advisory roles. He started his career in New York, spending nine years with Kidder, Peabody & Co. and three years with Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. Since 1991, he has been General Partner of Nassau Capital Partners, an independent investment banking and advisory practice which he founded.
Charlie has worked with middle market, lower-middle market and development stage businesses. He has completed transactions, advised clients and served in executive management (CEO and CFO) capacities for companies in numerous industries including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, consumer products, general manufacturing, technology, software, energy, distribution and business services.
Charlie's experience encompasses all aspects of mergers and acquisitions and financings. His mergers and acquisitions expertise includes valuations, negotiations, complex financing structures and corporate partnering. He has completed numerous financing transactions including bank financings, private placements, venture rounds and initial public offerings. His financing services have supported general corporate growth, leveraged management buyouts, recapitalizations, restructurings, acquisitions and research and development partnerships
Charlie has served in CEO and CFO capacities on both permanent and interim bases. In addition, his advisory services have encompassed strategic business planning, capital sourcing, control systems, and merger, acquisition and divestiture strategies.
In addition to his own practice, Charlie served for eight years on the Investment Committee and as an Executive-in-Residence for the Watermill Group, a private equity firm specializing in distressed investing and advisory services. He is also on the Board of HOPE Worldwide Ltd., a large international charity, serving as Chairman of its Finance Committee. He is also Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Revolving Museum, an educational charity and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arista Flutes LLC, a manufacturer of professional musical instruments.
Charlie is an honors graduate of Wesleyan University with a BA in Social Studies. He also has an MBA degree in Finance, with high distinction, from the Harvard Business School.
